Meet the team

Chatura Arangala
Previously worked as a French speaking National tour guide in Sri Lanka and way back in 1995 Chatura initiated and offered a real time wildlife experience to tourist with his first safari jeep service in the wilderness of the Minneriya National Reserve which was later declared as a National Park before moving back to France to start the Namasté tea bar in Paris. This paragliding enthusiast initiated the first ever paragliding event in Sri Lanka 2005. He qualified as a yachtsman and is currently captain of a yacht in Antibes. The idea of starting Sri Lanka’s first ever hop-on, hop-off bus service came from his backpacking adventures in Europe, Africa, South America and India.

Sanjay Arangala
Born and raised in Sri Lanka, he moved to United States in 1990. He currently lives with his family in the state of North Carolina where he works as a consultant for a software company. He has hiked and backcountry camped at several of the US national parks including Yellowstone and Glacier. These days, most of his free time is spent on running trail or on a mountain bike. While the strong pull of the travel bug has taken him to many parts of the globe, when detached from his service you will most likely find him at home in Sri Lanka.

His passion for trekking finally made him to start Trek Lanka that offers day hikes and tours in Sri Lanka. In 2014 he organised the first 210 km ultramarathon “The Wild Elephant Trail”. He has travelled extensively throughout Asia and Europe.
